Race 2, as expected, was full of incident!

All three drivers got off to a good start, with Mike taking four cars before the first corner at Paddock Hill Bend. Luca and Ryan were side-by-side all the way around to Graham Hill Bend, where Luca managed to nose in front. By the end of lap 1, Mike had managed to pass eight cars and was surely heading for a top 5 finish.

On lap 2, Mike overtook Ryan and took Luca on lap 3 heading into Paddock Hill. As he rounded McLaren, the back end lost grip and Mike spun out on to the grass (later put down to the fact that Mike was trying to read his laptime on the in-car logger and missed his braking point!). This allowed Luca and Ryan to pass; Mike now had a lot of work to do to recoup his lost time.

In the middle of all that, Ryan had lost two places and so Luca had a two car gap between him and Ryan. In front of Ryan was a squabble between Jim Edwards Snr (21) and Jonathan Blake (99), until Jonathan managed to put some clear air between them. Jim then came within reach of Ryan, who overtook him through Clearways. Mike got past Ryan through Paddock Hill and then built a gap up as he started to reign Luca in, eventually getting past on lap 9.

On the same lap, Ryan impressively took Clearways sideways, as grip was lost at the back, but with copious amounts of opposite lock, he held on and kept his MX5 on the track.

The chequered flag was taken by Chrissy Palmer (66); Mike couldn't make all the time up that he lost in his spin, finishing in 9th place, Luca in 12th and finally Ryan in 13th place.

Mike eventually made up 13 places from his starting position, Luca finished in the same position, and Ryan made up 2 places.

A great weekend's racing, with all three cars coming home unscathed, and Luca bringing some Italian flair to the team.
